Information We Collect
Lead Boss is designed to help users manage leads, follow-ups, and related business activity. Information processed by the App may include:
- Names, phone numbers, email addresses, cities, and addresses
- Notes, lead status, prospect stage, and lead details
- Appointment and follow-up reminder information
- Links entered or created through the app, such as Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, Calendly, Zoom, Google Sheets, calendar, product, and event links
- Images selected by the user for screenshot scanning, Facebook profile scanning, or business card scanning
- Contact information selected by the user from their device contacts
- Google account information used for the optional Google Sheets connection, such as the connected account email address
- Business setup information entered by the user, such as owner name, owner email, N Number, and optional back-office shortcut credentials
- App settings, script templates, custom messages, and preferences entered by the user
This information is generally entered or selected voluntarily by the user.
How We Use Information
Lead Boss uses information only to provide the App's features and functionality, including:
- Storing and organizing leads
- Managing follow-up activities and reminders
- Scanning screenshots, profile images, and business cards to extract text
- Letting users select phone numbers from their contacts
- Opening phone, SMS, email, social profile, Messenger, calendar, Calendly, Zoom, retail website, and event links when the user taps those actions
- Creating CSV exports or share-sheet files when the user chooses to export leads
- Connecting a user's Google account for optional Google Sheets sync
- Creating a Lead Boss Google Sheet when the user chooses optional Google Sheets sync
- Writing lead data to the specific Google Sheet created for Lead Boss sync
- Saving user settings, templates, and preferences
Local Storage on Device
Lead Boss stores lead records, settings, templates, and other app data locally on the user's device. Certain sensitive settings and credentials, such as the OCR key, Google connection details, and optional back-office shortcut credentials, may be stored using secure storage available on the device.
Third-Party Services
Lead Boss uses third-party services only to provide app features requested by the user.
OCR.Space
If a user chooses to scan screenshots, Facebook profile images, or business cards, the selected image may be sent to OCR.Space for text extraction. These images may contain personal information depending on what the user chooses to scan.
If a user chooses the optional Google Sheets sync feature, Lead Boss may:
- Request authorization from the user's Google account
- Access the connected Google account's email address
- Create a Google Sheet for Lead Boss sync when the user chooses that feature
- Access and update the specific Google Sheet created through the App for Lead Boss sync
- Refresh authentication tokens as needed to maintain the connection
Google account access is used only for the optional Google Sheets sync feature requested by the user. Lead Boss creates a spreadsheet in the user's Google Drive when the user chooses this feature, stores that spreadsheet ID, and accesses only the Google Sheet created through the App for Lead Boss sync.
Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, Phone, SMS, Email, Calendar, and Browser Apps
When a user taps an action to open a lead profile, start a message, place a call, compose an email, add or view a calendar item, or open a saved web link, Lead Boss hands the selected link or message content to the relevant device app or browser. Those services process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Messenger Link Lookup
When the user scans or opens certain Facebook or Messenger details, Lead Boss may request Facebook or Messenger web URLs and may use a DuckDuckGo search query to help resolve a Messenger target. These lookups may include the profile link, Messenger handle, lead name, or visible OCR text needed for the lookup.
ResearchDrops and Event Pages
If the user opens or searches event tools, Lead Boss may load ResearchDrops event pages or related public event content so the App can display event options and invitation details.
Apple and Expo Platform Services
The App may rely on Apple, Expo, or device-level services for app distribution, secure storage, notifications, file sharing, web browsing, and related mobile functionality.
Data Sharing
Lead Boss only shares data with third parties when necessary to provide features the user chooses to use, including:
- Sending selected images to OCR.Space for OCR processing
- Sending authorized data to Google services when the user connects optional Google Sheets sync and chooses to sync data to the specific Google Sheet created through Lead Boss
- Passing selected links, message text, CSV exports, or contact actions to device apps or third-party services when the user taps an action that opens or shares that information
- Using Facebook, Messenger, DuckDuckGo, ResearchDrops, or public web requests when needed for user-requested profile, messaging, or event lookup features
Contacts Permission
If the user grants access to Contacts, Lead Boss uses that access only to help the user select contact information, such as a phone number, for a lead. Contacts are not used for advertising or tracking.
Notifications
If the user enables notifications, Lead Boss may schedule local reminders for follow-ups and appointments. Notification content is used only to remind the user about their leads and activities.
Data Retention
Locally stored information remains on the user's device until the user deletes it, removes the app, or resets saved app data. CSV export files created by the user may remain wherever the user saves or shares them. If the user enables optional Google Sheets sync, synced lead data may also remain in the Google Sheet created through Lead Boss until the user edits or deletes it there.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the App. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and users are responsible for protecting access to their own devices and accounts.
Age Requirement
Lead Boss is intended only for adults age 18 or older. The App is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Google API Services Disclosure
Lead Boss's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the Effective Date above.
